The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has collected the All Progressives Congress Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Faleke obtained the forms on Tuesday in Abuja during a ceremony where the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, declared the process open and presented the documents.
The lawmaker, who also leads the Tinubu Support Groups, paid N100 million for the forms, marking the formal start of Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed Saturday, January 16, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections.
Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will follow on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
INEC said party primaries, including the resolution of disputes, will hold from April 23 to May 30, 2026.
The commission added that campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026.
Campaigns for governorship and state assembly elections are scheduled to commence on September 9, 2026.
