A 54-year-old father in Asaba, Delta State, Edward Odega, has made confession to defiling his three children.

Odega, who has been approached by the police, revealed that he had been sleeping with his children for the past seven years.

In a brief interview with our correspondent at the police headquarters in Asaba on Saturday, Odega stated, “I have three daughters, and I started sleeping with my first daughter when she was 12 years old.”

He said, “The police have arrested a father accused of sexually abusing his three daughters over the past seven years.

The daughters are now 13, 15, and 24 years old. The abuse became known after CSP Temi Agbede Zuokumor of the Ogborikoko division, during a school outreach and enlightenment program, met a child who spoke up, which led to the father’s arrest.” Edafe added that the three children are currently receiving medical check‑ups at a hospital.
