Hundreds of members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), and Social Democratic Party (SDP) have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kamba/Dandi Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The defectors were officially welcomed into the ADC during a political event held in Kamba town on Wednesday.

State Chairperson of the ADC, Hajiya Hawa’u Muhammad, popularly known as Yar Buga, described the mass defection as a “major boost” for the party in Kebbi South, saying it reflects growing public frustration with the existing political structure.

“This movement shows that people are looking for an alternative, a party that listens and serves. ADC represents that hope,” she said.

Many of the defectors were reportedly former ward and unit officials who accused their previous parties of poor leadership and abandonment.
