Renowned Fuji legend, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has publicly expressed his disappointment with his senior colleague and mentor, Ayinla Kollington, for failing to attend his late mother’s burial.

Kwam1’s mother passed away on January 18, 2025, and was laid to rest the same day in line with Islamic rites.

In a candid interview with OAP Bamidele Adeyanju on Agbaletu Radio, K1 revealed his deep hurt, recounting how he stood firmly by Kollington during his own time of loss, even taking on all burial expenses.

“I have no intention of disrespecting Alhaji Kollington or creating public drama,” he said. “But I must speak my truth. When his mother died, I did everything mobilized people, called top government officials, and personally handled all the costs to ensure a befitting farewell.”

K1 continued, “But when my own mother died, he didn’t show up. His reasons didn’t add up. He claimed he called but couldn’t reach me. For someone I went all out for, I expected more. I’m not angry I just want the truth. What really happened?”
