2027: APC Women Mobilisation Chief Pledges Nationwide Support for Tinubu

Politician and women’s rights advocate, Mary Idele, has pledged to lead a strong grassroots mobilisation of Nigerian women in support of President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in the 2027 presidential election.

Idele made the commitment after her appointment as Secretary of the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.

In a statement issued on Monday, Idele expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for the confidence placed in her, describing the appointment as both a responsibility and an opportunity to contribute to the President’s re-election campaign.

She said she would draw on her experience in grassroots mobilisation, women empowerment and organisational coordination to build a broad-based network capable of reaching women across the country.

According to her, the success of the campaign would depend not only on national political structures but also on sustained engagement with women at the community and grassroots levels.

“I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, for the confidence and trust reposed in me through this appointment.

I accept the responsibility with humility and a deep sense of duty,” Idele said.

She promised to work closely with women leaders, APC officials and other stakeholders to improve coordination and participation while ensuring that women are fully integrated into the campaign’s mobilisation strategy.

“I am committed to working with our women across the country to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, deepen engagement and ensure that the women’s wing of the campaign council delivers effectively on its mandate,” she added.

Idele said the directorate would establish an effective mobilisation structure capable of taking the campaign’s message to women in communities and local government areas across Nigeria.

She noted that achieving the campaign’s objectives would require collective efforts, strategic planning and continuous engagement with women, whom she described as an important constituency in Nigeria’s electoral politics.

“Our goal is to mobilise Nigerian women for victory and to support the progressive and Renewed Hope agenda.

We will work collectively, strategically and tirelessly to ensure a landslide victory for Mr President in 2027,” she stated.

Her appointment comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the ruling APC working to strengthen its structures and expand support for Tinubu’s re-election.
