We Demand Immediate Payment Of The Balance Of Our Short-Paid Jan and Feb 2025 Pensions:
- We have made enough demand pressure on that . Our MPB has equally done the same. We were given hope it would be paid with March 2025 pension. That never happened. Hope again for April and May. It never happened again. The issue is squarely with the FMoF authorities, particularly the Accountant-General”s office. They are not moved. They are practising economic tightening with our meagre pension..
- If they still could not pay it before and during this present Sallah season in June 2025, do you think they would ever care to pay it without a fight?
- What we are demanding is our statutory pension right. Not a favour. I think we need to act now or forget about getting that money. For the vast majority of veterans, that little money is a survival lifeline in the present hard economic situation.
- I think we need to take our fate into our hands and march to FMoF to demand our pension right. They should make early plan for the security services to come with enough teargas, because we will not leave there until we get payment Alert. For me, I am ready to move any day from now. The immediate challenge is how to quickly raise fund for logistics, to make up what remains from our past donations. Any idea on how we can do that while more donations come in slowly? The earlier we move the better.
