Tayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to Nigeria’s Ondo State Government is dead, government sources said on Saturday.
Oluwatuyi, an indigene of Akure, was involved in an auto crash along Ife-Ibadan Expressway in December 2024. The vehicle he was travelling in was said to have veered off the road and ran into the bush.
The late state official, who sustained injury, was taken to the intensive care unit of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State. He succumbed to the cold hands of death on Saturday, government sources told our correspondent.
The state government could not be reached for comment.
Oluwatuyi was appointed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in January 2024. The deceased was also the Secretary to the state government under late Rotimi Akeredolu’s administration.
